CROFT Recruitment is working with an established Irish main contractor to recruit a Design Coordinator to join their team in Galway.

The Role

Working closely with the Design Manager, project team, consultants and subcontractors, you will coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating architectural, structural and M&E design information
- Managing design deliverables and ensuring information is issued in line with the construction programme
- Liaising with architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors
- Reviewing drawings and specifications to identify design issues and discrepancies
- Managing RFIs and design queries
- Coordinating design team meetings and tracking actions
- Supporting site teams with design and technical information
- Ensuring designs comply with project requirements and relevant building regulations

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have a background in construction, architecture, engineering or a related discipline, with experience working within a main contractor, consultancy or design environment.

You should have strong technical and organisational skills and be comfortable coordinating multiple consultants and stakeholders.

This is a long-term Galway-based opportunity with excellent scope to progress into a Design Manager position.
